kwe.li was founded in February 2010 in St. Gallen, Switzerland as a GmbH by Marcel Buob, Marco Palatini, and Anton Hünermann. The three founders shared a common vision to create a company that would embody their values of truth, honesty, and sincerity.

With a long and successful history in enterprise content management, the founders leveraged their extensive knowledge and network of contacts to launch a management consulting agency in the field. kwe.li quickly established itself as a trusted provider of expert consulting services, catering to clients across multiple industries.

The Founding Partners
Marcel Buob
Founding Partner & Principal Consultant
Marcel, a graduate in Electrical Engineering from the prestigious ETH in Zürich, embarked on his career journey at OpenText after completing his studies in 1997. During his tenure of over 10 years at OpenText, Marcel held various key positions, starting as a Support Engineer and progressing to roles within Support, Global Services (as a Technical Consultant and Senior Technical Consultant), and ultimately assuming the role of Technical Director in OpenText hosted services.

In late 2008, Marcel joined OpenConnect as a Senior Consultant and took on the responsibility of Product Manager and Lead Developer for the eDoc technical documentation product.
​
In 2010, Marcel, along with two other partners, co-founded kwe.li. Since then, Marcel has been an instrumental Principal Consultant in ECM projects and has also served as the Product Manager and Lead Developer for the eDoc technical documentation platform. With his extensive industry experience and technical expertise, Marcel plays a pivotal role in driving the success of kwe.li and delivering exceptional solutions to our clients.
Anton Hünermann
Founding Partner & Principal Consultant
Anton, a graduate with a BSc in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of the Witwatersrand, embarked on his journey in the IT industry in 1988. His career began as a Developer and gradually evolved into roles such as Technical Consultant and Project Manager.

In 1995, Anton joined OpenText through an acquisition, where he held several management positions within the Support and Global Services organizations. Throughout his tenure, Anton maintained a close engagement with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and success.
​
In 1999, he took the initiative to establish a specialized Enterprise Architecture Group focused on large deployments. Subsequently, in 2000, Anton co-founded a hosting group and served as its Technical Director until 2007.
​
Since 2007, Anton has contributed his expertise as a Product Management Director at a German Business Intelligence vendor, worked as a freelance OpenText Project Manager and Technical Consultant, and served as CTO and Principal Consultant at a medium-sized ECM consulting firm.
​
In 2010, Anton co-founded kwe.li with two other partners, assuming the role of Principal Consultant in ECM projects. In addition, Anton has excelled as a Solution Architect and Project Manager, spearheading various customer projects. With his extensive background and expertise, Anton plays a pivotal role in guiding kwe.li's success and delivering exceptional solutions to our valued clients.
